Description
Learn about adaptations, beneficial heritable traits, with this fun high school STEM challenge wind pollination lesson.
Students will design, make, and test models of a plant that effectively "cross-pollinates" using the wind. Students will make connections between the "traits" of their own models and adaptations of wind pollinator plants in nature to better understand positive and negative natural selection.
Students do all of this seamlessly with your guidance and the templates included in this resource.
This STEM challenge offers the opportunity for learners to practice critical thinking, problem-solving, inquiry skills, creativity, and more. They will also gain content knowledge in line with Next Generation Science Standards.
