These 22 task cards are divided into two different types. The first 13 task cards contain a short description of the political perspectives of a Federalists or an Antifederalists. Students will identify from the descriptions if it best represents either an Antifederalists or a Federalists.
The other 9 task cards include excerpts from the Antifederal and Federalist letters. Students will carefully analyze the excerpts, then identify if the excerpts represents the Antifederalist or the Federalists perspectives. Then, students will justify their answers for the quotes.
Don’t forget to cut the task cards in two so as to have twice as many stations in your room. This allows students to walk around the room as they move form one card to another. Feel free to allow students to work independently or with a partner. Then at the end of the activity, allow students to share and discuss their answers.
