In this resource, students will practice aurally distinguishing between high and low sounds. Once the teacher plays the sound, students will color the egg either green or blue.
When I use this resource with my students, we start off by discussing how birds fly high in the sky and fish swim low underground. Then, I instruct students to color the bird blue and to color the fish green. Once each student has finished, I use a slide whistle to play either a high or a low sound for each egg. Because I use this resource with students who are pre-reading, I kept the instructions to a minimum.
