Your elementary music students will love this interactive game and watching the dragon dance. You will love being able to assess the concept! The product contains 15 student interactive slides. Each slide has several sound effects and animations. Students will click on the dragon to hear a sound. They will then click on the answer that represents what they hear! Students will know immediately without leaving the page if they are correct. Be prepared for laughter and movement when they select the correct answer. It is a perfect addition to your Orff and Kodaly lessons.
An assessment plus an answer key is included with the product as a separate PowerPoint document, shared link to use via tablets or Web Browser or PDF document (if you do not have access to Office) so you are able to formally assess students on the concept in a later lesson. The assessment document includes:
★ A student test (when printed you will have 2 per page in b/w with directions on how to print).
★ An assessment key
★ A sample slide of the student test. Instead of playing the sounds on an instrument just project the slide on your board and access the sounds by clicking on the dragon!
An excellent observation or assessment tool to see which students might be struggling with the concept.
The game was designed to be projected onto your SmartBoard, Promethian, Mimio or Interactive Whiteboard and will run on both PC and Mac computers using your default internet browser. It is also compatible for tablets! In addition, the PowerPoint version of the game has been included in the purchase as another option for utilizing the product. Until TpT supports this file type I have stored the data files on a separate server which allows the graphics and sound effects to remain secure. You will be able to access the game via a provided link. Upon purchase please read the document titled "1 READ FIRST INFORMATION" for detailed instructions.
Feel free to check out the preview which is a sample of the PowerPoint version of the product.
TpT has size restrictions on previews and I am unable to offer a preview of the Web Browser version of the product. If you would like to see it please email me at McPhersonsMusicRoom@gmail.com and I will be more than happy to accommodate you.
