This activity is student-centered and literacy-focused! First, students read a two-page history of the Aryans, Hinduism, and its effect on Ancient India. After the reading, students complete a common core writing guide and analyze the text by providing evidence to support claims about Hindu philosophy.

As a homework extension activity or another post reading option, students complete an iPad template worksheet. Students create an iPad app with four icons and summaries of the main ideas of the reading. This activity is fun and easy to implement.

An answer key is included!
