Product Description
This mini Social Justice Unit focuses around social movements through hip hop music - namely through the song "White Privilege" by Macklemore.

In order to aide in this lesson, I use two articles online:
1. NPR's " I Guess We Gotta Talk About Maklemore's "White Privilege" Song"
2. Pitch's "Maklemore's "White Privilege II" Is a Mess, But We Should Talk About It"

This lesson is engaging for high school students who are focused on music, messaging, and social movements. It works great as a pre-discussion and encourages students to self reflect as well as work together!
