Hiroshima and Nagasaki 2x Atomic Bomb Survivor Worksheet
This is the amazing story of a man who was in BOTH Hiroshima and Nagasaki when they were hit with atomic bombs during World War II.
Despite being within 2 miles of the epicenter in both Japanese cities, he survived and eventually became an outspoken critic of nuclear proliferation and spoke eloquently about the need for disarmament.
The worksheet tells his story of survival and how the two atomic bombs affected him in the decades since the bombing. Following the one page reading, students answer a set of comprehension questions to gauge their understanding and allow them to voice their opinions.
