Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th. To commemorate the accomplishment of Hispanic-American Women to American society, students will conduct a thorough research of a famous Hispanic- American Woman. This project contains 2 graphic organizers ( one for the research and the other one for the essay planning) and step-by step directions to follow and complete the biographical research as well as a sample of a poster for students to create their own.There is an introductory paragraph about celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. This project expects students to create a poster of the woman of their research and write a biographical essay about her and her contributions. There is a list of famous Hispanic- American women to help students select the woman. You may either assign the woman for research or allow students select their own. It is in Microsoft Word format, so it is easily editable. Most of the mentioned in the project women have a link leading to the brief biography from www.factmonster.com
