This worksheet accompanies an articulo on BBC Mundo about great inventions of 2016. Students read the article and complete the table, taking notes on each invention and deciding which ideas were practical vs ridiculous. This article is not difficult, has nice photos to accompany each invention and the worksheet is good practice for pulling out details. It connects to the AP theme of technology and the future. Takes one class period to complete and will require either computer lab or access to lap tops to be able to read the article. This activity works great for either Heritage Language Learner or a level 4 or 5 student who can read news articles with a high level of comprehension. There are several questions at the end to get students discussing and inventing something of their own.
