I created a template that mimics a well-known photo-sharing app for smartphones. The Histagram template provides two pages and each page has two screen-cap style areas within which students can share photos and profile information in character as a historical figure.
The left side of page one includes areas for: a username, a profile picture, some profile info, and three photos that have already been shared.
The right side of page one includes an area for a new photo and an area for a caption, hashtags, and tagging other users.
The left side of page two includes six spaces for other historical figures to comment upon a photo or otherwise interact with each other. For example, one student had Marc Antony and Julius Caesar engaging in a disagreement over who Cleopatra's "Man Candy Monday" was.
The right side of page two includes a map for locations to be labeled. Just like people "check in" using social media, the historical figure can check in in North Africa, the Middle East, or Europe. You can easily edit the map.
Please be sure to check out my similar template for a social networking app that limits posts to 140 characters :)
