In my many years of teaching history I’ve often found that the biggest problem students have is that they have little or no knowledge about basic concepts as simple as what governments do, what economics is, and how societies are organized among other things.
This unit is designed to give students a basic schema into which they can place and arrange the information and ideas they learn throughout their study of ancient and world history.
Students will also be introduced to how to use and evaluate historical sources as well as employ basic graphic organizers to help arrange and analyze information.
