This lesson presents an adapted informational text of September 11th as well as assorted activities and tasks designed to address and improve concrete language and study skills in English Language Learners, while introducing them to age-appropriate content. This lesson was designed for both ease of use and adaptability. Each activity has simple and explicit instructions for students (and teachers!). You may wish to print out copies for students or display the lesson on a smartboard and have students use a notebook for recording their answers to the various activities. You are encouraged to modify and expand upon the activities in ways that work for you and your class.
