PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students choose a historical fiction novel from a provided list of young adult books and have at least 2 months to read and analyze the story for various literary elements, such as figurative language, plot, characterization, and theme. Then, the students create a cereal box project creatively displaying their literary elements information. Students must also research the historical background of the story and create a PowerPoint or Prezi to present this information to the class. So, on Presentation Day, a student presents their historical information and then the cereal box. Each student may have up to 15 minutes for the entire presentation. Students learn from each other about historical periods such as "cavemen" times, medieval times, Renaissance, WWII and the Holocaust, etc.
