This scrapbook book report is a great way to get students engaged and excited about reading! The book report is designed for a historical fiction novel, but can be used for any genre. The students are asked to use their creativity to put together a scrapbook that illustrates important aspects of a story they read, such as characters, setting, and important events, through writing letters, drawing portraits, and more! This project can be used for a novel read together in class or for an assigned reading outside of class. The rubric gives clear explanations and that allow for creativity but also ensure that the students truly convey all that they know after reading the novel. My students absolutely love the project and I am sure yours will too!
