Students' will be working on a long term project that will require preparation inside the classroom and as well as at home. I will choose a historically significant figure from History that they will research and obtain information about. Then they will check a biography out from the library, school or public, to read and use as a resource. They will also be allowed to use the computer/internet in class. They will be required to prepare a one page (5 paragraphs) report over their significant figure.
On November 25th and 26th , we will organize a live wax museum display in the hallway. The students can dress as the person they researched. (This is optional) They may also bring props (posters, handouts, pictures, etc…) They will become statues of wax and come to life when an imaginary button is activated! They will be required to give a short speech, approximately 1-2 minutes, over the life of their person. We will take turns in blocks to present our projects.
