I use this handbook for my students. There are 4 tabs (CAPP). Context, Audience, Purpose, Point of View. When analyzing historical documents we use these 4 categories to gather information about the sources.
The first page is the cover, where you or students will have to cut off the top box to reveal the 4 tabs. Each page is cut to reveal the page behind it like a flip book. Each sheet of paper should be cut in half and put together as a book.
The last page puts all the sources together to corroborate.
Each page defines the term and includes the questions students should focus on while analyzing their sources.
It works best when students are looking at a particular category at a time instead of bogging them down with all the information at once.
My students are allowed to use these during tests, classwork, anything.
I included my old version in the preview.
