This is a wonderful activity to either introduce Middle Ages or to close the topic with your students. The purpose of the game is to help them learn how to research about important characters in history with just a few clues. Students can work either in small groups or individually to fill out their HistoryBooks profile pages for each character. Students will decide which clues are the best to get the information they need and which resources are helpful to learn about important characters from history.

This activity works with 12 different characters but is fully editable for you to suit to your classroom needs.

*PowerPoint with 9 different clues for 12 characters in total!
*Blank HistoryBook Worksheet for your students to complete according to their research and creativity.
*HistoryBook Worksheets with one clue in each for students to identify characters with added ease if you decide they need it!
*Optional rubric aligned with ELA CCSS for you to apply to student work.
