Product Description

There is a classroom crime that must be solved! This packet includes a scenario, evidence, script starters, and talking points and this is how I have started the school year with any history class that I have ever taught. This lesson is fun and engaging and will get your student detectives thinking about the historian's craft. It will introduce/ reintroduce students to the ideas of historical bias, primary and secondary sources, and the point of studying history. This lesson could easily be turned into a full escape classroom if you wanted to take it that far. This lesson takes up about an entire full 90 minute period. It is always a blast!
