Product Description
This is meant to be an activity to follow-up learning about Capitalism and the Free Market. You can do it in pairs/groups or as an individual assignment. Normally, I will do one of the pieces with them, just to get them warmed up. I then give them time to work, I do time them, generally 2-3 minutes per source. At the end we discuss the lab, the individual cartoons, and then they will do a reflection. The reflection question for this lab is: Is capitalism good for the people? The students turn in the reflections as an exit ticket so I can check for understanding.
Variation:
To get students moving around, you could do this in a “Gallery Walk” style. You would post the sources in different areas of your room, or even the school, and students would walk around to look at them to complete the lab.
