This resource is a worksheet to be used with a device that can read QR codes. It is ideally suited to use in the classroom with ipads that have a QR reading app installed.
The worksheet provides an opportunity for students to develop a basic understanding of Australia's indigenous people. It is a great activity to use at the beginning of a history unit which would then go on to talk about how the indigenous people's lives changed after the establishment of a colony in Sydney. This worksheet gives students a good idea as to what Aboriginal life was like prior to these events.
Students scan the QR code to take them to a website where they can read about the indigenous people of Australia and complete the worksheet activities. This document also includes answers for the teacher.
This could even be given as a homework activity as many students have a device at home now which reads QR codes.
This activity was written to use with the new Australian Curriculum History K-10 Syllabus.
