Looking for a way to get your students excited about the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WWI, or WWII? Or are you looking for a connection between English and Social Studies? I've found a great way for students to take their love of technology and music to make a connection to the life of a soldier going into battle that even your most reluctant learners will take part in!
This Google Drive Version allows your students to show their understanding of the the war you are covering by them designing the color of an iPhone, selecting their background photo, creating a playlist that connects lyrics to the war you are studying, and allows them to demonstrate their knowledge through a writing activity. Kids love it!
Included is a template for students to use as well as a fully-completed example I created for the Revolutionary War that is also editable for you to select your own songs to use as examples if you'd like.
Also available for use with PowerPoint
