PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

With this easy to implement project, which could be a kick-off or a culminating activity, students create a poster that highlights the 5 Ws (who, what, when where, why) of an important event or figure in space history (such as Sputnik, Challenger Shuttle Disaster, Neil Armstrong; as new milestones are reached, they can easily be added to the list).

PDF file includes a research collection sheet, grading rubric, list of possible topics, photos of three completed samples, word search for students who finish early and tips and suggestions for implementing.

Originally developed for use in conjunction with Chapter 2 of Prentice Hall Astronomy text. This is a great way to get help students learn about all of the triumphs and tragedy that helped us reach where we are in our current understanding of space.
