Explore the History of Australia through its waves of Migration and the reasons peoples, from across the globe, dared to leave family friends and the familiar for the uncertainty of an unknown world. I have included the study of Human Rights in this unit, as Human Rights are intrinsically linked with migration.
The starting point for students is to explore their own Family History, to find out when, why and how their ancestors came to migrate to Australia.
