For this research project, students will research the origin, progression, and abolition of slavery in America. After conducting research, students will create a multimedia digital timeline documenting 20 related events, 10 supporting images, and 3 relevant media files.

This project includes access to a Slavery Research Symbaloo Webmix of bookmarked websites! Students will have immediate and easy access to over 52 bookmarked websites, audio files, and supporting video clips!

The bookmarked websites include documentaries relating to historical events, oral testimonies from former slaves, and more!

After conducting research, students will showcase their knowledge by using the user-friendly, free website Sutori (formerly titled HSTRY).

A link to step-by-step directions on creating a digital timeline using the website Sutori is included.

Students will be able to view a sample project that serves as a model. A History of Slavery Digital timeline project has been created using the website Sutori that includes all of the same required elements of this research project.

This product also features an attractive, modern project website c reated using the new Google Sites. All links and resources are located in one accessible convenient online location!
