Do you want more holiday-themed reading passages? This is a non-fiction reading passage available as PDF or Google Doc for middle school and high school students that includes critical thinking questions about the history of Valentine's Day. One of my focuses when creating this was improving literacy skills through historical content.

This product includes:

  • Reading passage about the history of Valentine's Day
  • Critical thinking questions
  • Vocabulary task using context clues
  • Compare and contrast

Note for Google Drive edition: The Venn diagram was created as a drawing and can be edited by double-clicking and adding text.
