5 Activities that get you through this part of the Chemistry unit. It includes ppt guided notes, an overview of the entire process for guided practice, a timeline activity for independent practice and assessment, a crossword (with no word bank so they have to look up information if they don't know it), and a rubric and explanation page for having the students build their own historically accurate model of the atom. There is also a Unit Overview explaining how each activity is designed and how its meant to be used.
I love instructional design and believe that small thematic units are supposed to build on each other on a logical and concise way. Units need to cover specific material throughout the unit. I hope that these activities are as useful in your classroom as I have found them to be in my own. You'll notice that I'm not really a fancy clip art teacher. All of my materials lean heavy to the function aspect of things and not the form side. I have observed that it's more of a personal preference than a requirement to make material engaging. The content, learning process, and classroom experience seem to have a greater impact on learning.
