This is the research project that I assign my sophomores. The project requires students to research one mystery in-depth and write a persuasive essay to prove the theory that they believe solves the mystery. The assignment sheet explains how they will set up their essay and conduct research.
This project can be adjusted for different grade levels as well. I have used it for over five years and always had good results.
The files include a five page assignment, three rubrics, PowerPoint containing topic ideas, initial research worksheet, and a sample student paper so that students understand what is expected of them.
**ALL DOCUMENTS CAN BE ALTERED AND PERSONALIZED AS YOU SEE FIT**
