This is an art lesson on the embroidery of the Hmong People called Paj Ntaub (Story Cloths). The Hmong people tell stories of their heritage through these embroidered story cloths. In this lesson students learn about the Hmong and research their own background and immigration stories. The lesson includes a student worksheet for researching their family history, project instructions, and a form to send home to families. I used a book called "We are All Related: A Celebration of Our Cultural Heritage" and a video on the embroidery with this. I also have a PowerPoint for sale that goes along with this. You can get by without using the book although it has some great examples in it. This is a great lesson for ELD students.
