This file contains a document dealing with Floor hockey and passing, hitting, and controlling the sticks in class. This lesson is geared toward 4-6th grade, but it can be used for any grade level either keeping the lesson the same or modifying it to make it harder/easier for the grade level you want to reach out to. The following objectives are covered in class: While playing hockey the students will be able to develop an understanding and hold accountability of their own actions by following the rules for each activity and game and even in the classroom during the class period. While the teacher is having a discussion about the rules of Hockey, the students will be able to comprehend the rules and how to score by applying the rules to game play situation of a game play and different small sided games being played with 100% accuracy. While participating in partner skill, the students will be able to put in action what the teacher has explained about handling the stick and some different ways on how to handle the stick by performing the different skills given to them by the teacher. During the lesson, the students will be able to show how to handle the stick with individual practice and with partner practice by coordinating different movements and skills throughout the allotted time. The lesson includes the national standards, equipment needed, and teaching style used for the lesson. It’s a simple lesson that is used to help work with the students’ hand-eye coordination using a sport-specific skill.
