**Includes generic "After Reading Book Review Activities" also available in my store. Purchasing both will result in duplicate materials**
This packet is designed for students to complete after reading the book Holes by Louis Sachar. It contains:
•“Escape from Camp Green Lake”: Students design an escape plan by drawing a map, planning for supplies, deciding when the best time to leave is, deciding whether to bring a friend, planning for yellow-spotted lizards, and stating what they’ll want to do when they make it home!
•“Shut Down Camp Green Lake!”: Students write a persuasive letter about whether they think the camp should be shut down. They must include 3 specific reasons with details from the book.
•“Book Critic”: Students write a detailed review of the book. They rate the book, describe their favorite part, state something they would change, explain why they would/wouldn’t recommend it, design an award to give the book and write a summary.
•“Change it up!”: Students draw a new cover for the book and write an alternate ending.
•“Sneak Peek”: Students give a quick glance into the book. This is perfect for a bulletin board or shelf that recommends books for students!
Lots of writing practice interlaced with opportunities to be creative and artistic!
