In this final part of the PBL unit on Holes, students are tasked with using Storyboard That to create a graphic comic strip of a conversation between Stanley Yelnats and a character, fictional or not, of their choosing. The project requires analyzing, inferencing, synthesizing, and justifying. Students incorporate vocab study, graphic novel study, technology skills, and about a dozen other things. This project hits deep on many levels. Students strive to make insightful connections based on a previously gained understanding of the book's themes and recurring character traits. If your students completed the first three mini-projects in this unit, they will attack this final project with a high level of engagement and enthusiasm!
