PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is one of my favorite activities to do with the students upon their completion of the novel, Holes, by Louis Sachar. I bring in a peach and an onion and give each student a section to try. I take their photos as they try each one, and they really ham it up. Students record their sensory experience in class, and create two sensory poems (one about onions, one about peaches) for homework, or in class. I post the pictures with the poems and post them in the hallway. It is always a huge hit! Rubric is included, as is a note-taking sheet for the students. Enjoy!
