After my Thanksgiving version of this activity was fairly popular amongst my students, I decided to make a Christmas / holiday-themed version. This activity is great for students on the Autism spectrum and students with social deficits to practice manners and general social problem solving. To make it more fun for them, I came up with a simple game format (please see below).
This version has 36 different scenarios related to the holidays, present etiquette, and general manners.
CONTENTS (all PDF):
•36 Christmas-themed scenarios / social skills situations
•18 blank cards to make your own scenarios
•1 Santa’s bag visual
•Images of presents to place in Santa’s Bag
1.Cut out and laminate all items.
2.Place Santa’s bag on the table.
3.Read a scenario out loud and have students respond – if they are able to respond appropriately, they get to place a present into Santa’s bag.
4.If they manage to fill the bag, they win.
I figured this would be the perfect activity for the holidays! Please check out my other holiday-themed items for Speech therapy and the regular education classroom.
