Details! Details! Details! It can be a challenge to get students to add details to their writing to make their work more descriptive. Use this fun activity to help students think about sensory details they can add to their work like sights, shapes, smells, tastes, feelings, and more! Each student will brainstorm details about a mystery food and then write a descriptive paragraph about that food. They will then draw a diagram of their food and label the details. This creates a cute bulletin board where readers can use the descriptive details in the paragraph to guess the mystery food and then lift up the paragraph to see the answer below!
