Our students laughed so much with "Where Is My Turkey?" that we couldn't resist the opportunity to make a sequel! You'll laugh as you build literacy skills with these new books: "Where is Santa?" and "Are You Santa?" Children will develop fluency and expression through engaging, repetitive and predictable text as they enjoy the stories. You can even have children act out the roles of the little boy and Santa as they read!
The "Disguise Santa" project will provide a creative and cooperative homeside connection to the text. Boys and girls will happily create disguises so that Santa can have a well-deserved day off before Christmas!
Two levels of emergent readers are included in this 56 page packet! "Where Is Santa?" (level C-D) contains two lines of text on a page, and the sight words where, is, the, little, boy, said, you, are, not. "Are You Santa? (level A-B) contains one line of text, and the sight words are, you, not. Tie this into your math lessons by completing a graph of your students' favorite Santa disguise from the book!
The black and white versions of the story are formatted for quick, no-fuss assembly. You will have two books from printing the complete story once. (The top and bottom of each page are the same.) Use the color version for your classroom whiteboard!
These are stories that you'll enjoy reading over and over with your children as they practice building fluency and expression.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our store, and be sure to check out our "Where Is My Turkey?" emergent reader set; it's a great companion to this one! Or, look at our disguise bundle to see the Easter Bunny, too!
