Students will use those popular catalogs with birthday party supplies and more or websites to create a gift bag for a children less fortunate. Students will select 8 different items to put in a bag (there is no need to buy a bag)
Students will set up a long division problem to find the cost of 1 item. Older students can set up a proportion (will use division to solve either way).
Students will do this for all 8 items that they are putting in their bag.
Once the students find the unit price for each of the 8 items, they will add them up to find the total cost of their bag.
Students must include a picture of their item and their work.
