Product Description
On your mark, set, GO! Your students will be off and running to learn, analyze and discover. It is the beginning of the year, take the opportunity to team and community build with a primary source scavenger hunt. Students will work in teams of 4-5, to develop a strategy of attack to dig through the 34 primary sources and bring back enough information to figure out the mystery.

Historians don't know the story before they start looking at primary sources, let students experience the same frustrations, questions and decision making that they will need to figure out the story that the primary sources are telling them. Once the students have shared what they discovered to their teams it will be time for part two.

Students will develop their hypothetical history based on what their team discovered. Time to see if their plan worked. Once they all share out give them the real story and reflection questions to wrap up the fun day of learning.
