“Holiday Language” is a fantastic way to use the Christmas and Hanukkah holidays as a basis for language practice. There are five sections in this product, divided by skills level. Each section includes several activities: flash cards, games, photos, and worksheets and are aligned with Common Core State Standards:

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.9 Compare and contrast

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.1 Participate in conversations

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.3 Ask and answer questions, summarize

CSS.ELA-Literacy.S.4 Report on a topic with details, express opinions

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.6 Express thoughts clearly and in complete sentences

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.1 Use standard English grammar

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.4.4 Define and clarify new vocabulary

“Holiday Language” is a unique product because it provides the opportunity to easily differentiate between groups. Although all students use receptive/expressive language talking about Thanksgiving, activities and worksheets are divided into levels for Pre-K up through 5th grade CCSS levels, as well as social language.
