This printable activity helps students to represent multiplication facts in different forms. The students will select an answer on the handout to identify the multiplication fact that represents the information in the square. The multiplication facts are represented by: arrays, equal groups, repeated addition or a word problem. This portion of the activity can be used for an assessment to measure your students’ understanding of representing multiplication. Each square has a decoration piece to assess a separate form multiplication (ornaments: repeated addition, lights: equal groups, presents: arrays, other decorations: word problems). This will provide a quick check to see which area students are struggling in. After the handout has been completed, then the students can use the decorations pieces in the printable packet to create a Christmas tree.
