This packet was designed for use with my speech therapy students addressing pragmatic goals. I wanted to incorporate vocabulary expansion with less-commonly used emotion terms as well as focus on perspective-taking. I hope this helps you!
*Who said it?: Match the statement to the person/creature who said the statement. Use as a matching game or keep answer choices connected and cover with the matching statement. Make it harder by removing answer choices completely!
*Why would they say…? (inferences with common statements): Have students describe a situation for each statement. Any logical response will work.
*Emotion vocabulary: Use the sorting mat to separate positive and negative emotions. Discuss each emotion- meaning, situations, have you ever felt…?
*Fill-in-the-blank stories: Have students identify with the characters by completing the missing comments. Any logical response will work. Discussion questions centered around emotions are also included at the end of each story.
Thank you! Maggie Lewis
