This product is a set of 15 paired passages for a total of 30 holiday themed reading comprehension passages that can be used for close reading. Each set includes 10 multiple choice reading comprehension questions, a compare and contrast written response organizer, main idea task, and writing prompts for narrative, informational, and persuasive writing. Sets then include a variety of additional reading strategy activities.

Pick and choose what reading activities your students need the most. You could use them all and allow the passages to serve as close reading material for a week close to each holiday. All passage sets include a suggested pacing guide. Each paired passage set varies slightly in reading genres and activities. These can be used for 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade students.
