For each book you'll find:
Read aloud Chat Cards
(used by the teacher to discuss the book as it is being read)
, made by the students with pages about the characters, reflection about the specific story, memorable part, and the lesson learned in the story
for each book. Two of the projects will require adult support. Each craft project had step-by-step directions with photos.
If you want your students to read the books in small groups there is also a Circle Discussion Wheel. Groups of 4 students can read the book. Each student will have a job; Reader, Questioner, Character Analyst and Summarizer. The Discussion Wheel rotates to give each student a chance to have each job.
