Page 1: Story about the celebration. Have students highlight unknown words with a yellow crayon.
Page 2 and 3: Main Topic and Key Details (There is a 2nd option in
the form of a graphic organizer towards the end the book.)
Page 4: Sentence frame and a place for a picture
Page 5: (2nd option) Sentence (no frame) and a place for a picture
Page 6 and 7: Place for kids to write a story about the celebration
Page 8: Draw pictures of 2 unknown words
Page 9: Use the unknown words into sentences

Bonus: *I added a 2nd option for Main Idea and Key Details!
* Thinking Maps! There is a bubble, a tree, and a circle
thinking map for each celebration!
*3 compare and contrast!
*1 task where they choose their favorite celebration
and write the main idea & key details they learned
about that celebration.
*Cover to make a Winter Celebration Book
