    Description

Save by purchasing both of my Holidays Around the World products in this bundle!

The file includes my Holidays Around the World Interactive Notebook and my Holidays Around the World Close Reading products!

The digital version is created in Google Slides.

    **************************************************************************************

What's Included in the interactive notebook product?

*A picture of a completed interactive notebook entry for each country/culture.

*A black and white version of each activity to save on colored ink.

*I've include two options for some countries to keep the interactive notebooks flexible for all classroom needs. All countries come with one generic template where students can record what they learned, facts, important info, etc.

*There is a second version for most countries that requires students to apply reading skills and strategies from the Common Core Language Arts Standards for Informational Text. For instance, students may have to determine the text structure of the passage they were reading about that holiday or need to identify the point of view of the passage.

What's Included in the close reading product?

In this product, there are ten nonfiction reading passages based on ten cultures/nations holiday celebrations. Since we all have students reading on many different reading levels, I've written each passage on three different reading levels to make differentiation a little easier for you.

There are also three sets of questions for each set of passages. The first set of questions requires students to cite evidence in the text, and the second set of questions require students to analyze the text structure and word choice of the passage. The third set of questions have students respond to a question that promotes high order thinking.
