This digital Holidays Around the World scrapbook, that can also be printed, will delight your students as they research and learn about the holiday traditions of Christmas around the world. With 27 different countries included, each student can choose a different one. Simply delete the slides you don’t wish to use before assigning it to students. Each country includes a passport for students to add their own picture and a postcard to send to grownups at home.
Each slide has a link to a website for kids with Christmas and other winter holidays, so students can research their country. However, many holidays are celebrated in every country. I have included a list of additional websites in the teacher's notes with information for kids about Diwali, Eid, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Ramadan, and Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year.
Perfect for distance learning or your classroom holiday activities, the step-by-step directions guide students through adding information onto the Google Slides. There are even easy to use directions with pictures for adding photos.
Each slide has an embedded background with clearly marked text boxes for students to type responses. Students can save their Google Slides as a PDF and print their books if they wish.
There are several fun ways you can use this resource.
1. Do a collaborative project with a culminating class book where each student chooses a different country to research.
2. Use it as a webquest.
2. Students can make individual holiday scrapbooks with their own family traditions using the My Family Traditions slides.
3. Make a Family Traditions digital class book with a photo gallery from each student.
This download is a PDF file with instructions and links to access the resource on Google Slides.
