This packet is FULL of engaging and informative activities to teach your students all about major holidays around the world! This packet includes Christmas in America, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan/Eid, Lunar New Year, and Diwali. This packet is perfect for helping students understand how and why their classmates celebrate various holidays and for promoting diversity in the classroom! The following activities/resources are included.

Anchor Chart Printables and Vocabulary Cards-These are perfect for creating class anchor charts, class discussions, or to place in a writing center. All of the pictures come in color and black/white so you can decide what works best for you!

-Color and Sort-students sort and color pictures of Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas

-Christmas and Ramadan-students sort by Christmas, Ramadan, and both. This is a great activity for helping students see similarities between holidays :)

-My Holiday Learning-students draw and write 4 things they learned about holidays

-My Holiday Tradition-students draw and write about a holiday tradition they have (multiple versions included; makes a perfect take home project)

All About It-students complete graphic organizers about all 6 winter holidays

-Schema, Questions, New Learning-students write about each holdiay as they learn about them

-My New Holiday-students create a new holiday and tell all about it

-Writing Page-students draw and write about the food, decorations, gifts, and activities of a holiday

Compare Them-students draw and write about the holidays and how they are the same and different

Flipbooks-Students always enjoy making these 2 page flipbooks.

-Ramadan-students write about who, why, and how people celebrate Ramadan

-Compare Them-students tell how Ramadan and Eid are similar and different

-Hanukkah-students write about traditions, fun facts, and questions they have
