Holidays Around the World Readers and Writing Activities

Celebrate fun holidays around the world with this reading and writing bundle. Resources are included for both reading and writing for six holidays: Chinese New Year, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Las Posadas, and Saint Lucia.

Students use this resource to learn new words about each holiday, write what they learn and read a mini reader full of sight words and vocabulary. There is also a Google Slides version of this resource.

The Holidays included are:

- Diwali

- Hanukkah

- Kwanzaa

- Saint Lucia

- Chinese New Year

- Las Posadas

Please note that Christmas is NOT included in this resource.

Each holiday includes a holiday overview page, a word bank page, blank writing pages, and an emergent reader. Both color and black-and-white versions included. A Google Slides version of the word bank, writing page, and reader are also included (with instructions on how to access/assign the digital versions).

This resource can be easily accessed in both print and digital versions at home and in the classroom.
