Students complete an "on this day in history" activity by identifying which 10 of 13 historical events happened on New Year's Eve/Day, Valentine's Day, the Ides of March, St. Patrick's Day, April Fools' Day, the 4th of July, Halloween, and Christmas. For each holiday they put together a timeline, complete 3 academic tasks, and respond to 3 creative tasks. They try to match each of the ten events from each holiday to the years in which they happened and organize them chronologically on the provided timeline. The answers are included where appropriate and this could work for a sub! See the preview for a closer look!
