Students are a read and mark the text about 5 different groups of people who were targeted during the Holocaust. In this way, students are able to see that Jewish people were NOT the only targets.
Second, students write 4 separate paragraphs over their targeted group, edit the paragraphs with the teacher during student/teacher writing conferences, and finally create a product, a poster.
Students present their posters about their group to the class for credit. Rubric for poster is included on the assignment.
