This activity is common core aligned. This includes a lesson plan, close read article and activity. This also includes an answer key. Students are to read the article and then are given two claims based on the article. Students are to find evidence from the article that supports each claim. After this, the student is to determine which claim he/she believes is strongest and justify it. This is great for teaching argument, claim, and supporting evidence. This also includes a handout on these items for the students.
